Kia Motors America announced the third and final member of the lineup completely redesigned Forte elegantly and with a purpose completely. Following the launch of the Forte 5-door sedan, the new two-door 2014 Forte Koup SX has European design inspiration and performance to match a 1.6 liter gasoline direct injection (GDI) four-cylinder turbo able to take to 201 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2014 Forte Koup is equipped as ever. Sales are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2013, and prices will be announced closer to the launch of the Koup.

2014 Forte

Like its sibling Forte 5-door 2014 Forte Koup is available in two trim levels, EX and SX, with two powertrain options. The EX comes equipped with a 2.0-liter GDI four-cylinder engine, and the SX comes standard with the 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. The Forte EX comes standard with a 6-speed automatic transmission, while the SX can be coupled with either a standard 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic could also be mounted on the steering wheel or shift lever.

Advanced technology and premium features
In line with the rest of the Forte family, the new 2014 Forte Koup offers buyers an impressive list of technology and safety features. The Koup EX comes standard with alloy wheels of 16 inches, UVO eServices Display1 rear camera, 2 wireless Bluetooth, SiriusXM Satellite Radio3, leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated audio and cruise control buttons, FlexSteer, tilt and telescoping steering column, power windows, LED headlights and fog lights positioning.

The 2014 Kia Forte Koup SX buyers brings alloy wheels 18 inches, two chrome exhaust tips and LED taillights. 2014 Forte SX also offers an aggressive front grille with bigger bumpers and grille openings, black grille inserts brightness, larger front brakes, sport alloy pedals, front and rear seats with carbon fiber-style accents. The lower front grille and rear bumper have carbon fiber look trims.

The trim levels Forte EX and SX both offer optional HID headlamps, navigation system with HD radio 4 wheel sunroof, heated steering ,10-driver seat with electric adjustment, heated front seats and driver seat cooled surfaces leather seats, SmartKey with push button start, electric chromatic rear view mirror and dual zone automatic climate control.

Premium features sport cockpit
The interior of the 2014 Kia Forte Koup features quality materials and soft touch points. Deep Meters easy to read white on black in the instrument cluster. Chrome accents around the HVAC controls and optional pushbutton start, along with carbon fiber as the textures on the dashboard and seats that add a sporty touch. A grippy leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter are some evidence of the intentions of raising the 2014 KIA Forte Koup high quality levels. A unique feature heating available are heated front seats.

The dynamic driving experience
using a 1.6-liter turbocharged GDI four-cylinder engine, the 2014 Forte Koup SX is the most powerful ever developed Forte Koup. Power is seamlessly transferred to the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission or automatic transmission. The GDI engine produces 201 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 195 lb-ft of torque between 1.750 to 4.500 rpm.

The 2014 Kia Forte Koup EX comes standard with a 2.0-liter GDI engine produces 173 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 154 lb-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm. During durability testing, the engines 300 hours continuous work on the red line at full load and then for 20 hours at 10 percent above the red line at full load.

To help improve performance, the 2014 Forte Koup has a sport suspension with front MacPherson configuration and design of rear torsion bar. Standard Koup rides 225/40R-18 205/55R-16 tires while the tires are included with the Forte SX trim for a driving experience even sportier.
